Hope it’s ok to start a thread. Anyone any thoughts on this?

Looking at some trends here...

https://juicestorm.com/horse-racing/2017-irish-grand-national-betting-trends/

Focusing on ..

Trends:
14/15 – Carried 10-13 or LESS
14/15 – Had raced within the last 8 weeks
14/15 – Won over at least 3m previously
13/15 – Irish bred
12/15 – Carried 10-8 or LESS
12/15 – Came from outside the top 3 in the betting
12/15 – Returned a double-figure price
12/15 – Aged 9 or younger
11/15 – Carried 10-6 or LESS
11/15 – Won by an Irish-based trainer
11/15 – Had raced at Fairyhouse previously

These horses seem to fit..

Call It Magic 33/1
Jetstream Jack 25/1
Killaro Boy 50/1
Sutton Manor 33/1
Westerner Point 40/1

Paddy Power paying 6 so one of these might be worth a shout.

you can start any thread ya wan mate

I have neva in my life looked at trends which maybe is something i should try doing and probably will in near future i like Sutton Manor and might have a dabble on that two horses that made my shortlist for the Irish was

Thunder and Roses 40/1
Folsom Blue 12/1

might start going back into looking at cards in advance again

Folsom Blue will get place money almost sure of that but i am liking the chances of Arkwrisht for this race only thing that puts me off going big on him is the jumping if someone told me he will jump perfect i will put lot of money onto him winning the Irish National but saying that at 33/1 you do not need to stake that much money really do you, will agree about Sutton Manor also could sneak in the places

Arkwrisht 33/1

Folsom Blue 12/1

Monberg Notorius 10/1

Sutton Manor 40/1

General Principle 33/1

In that order for me

I like Forever Gold myself. Has ran well over this distance in Fairyhouse a few times. Seems to be being backed too. Was 50/1 this morning.

I’ll prob go with Forever Gold & Sutton Manor
